Their signals penetrate walls and man-made borders. All one needs in order to hear God's Word is a tiny radio. In many of the remotest parts of the earth, transistor radios hang on tree limbs or posts near the community well or watering hole. Entire tribes and villages come to the well for the water that sustains their lives and to listen to the news of the outside world. Amazingly, English has become the trade [second] language of the world and is therefore understood by millions of people. We rejoice at the prospect of permeating the airwaves of the world with our through-the-Bible devotions. Satan is known to be the prince of the power of the air Ephesians 2:2. But we are claiming the airwaves for Jesus Christ who created both the air and the airwaves! In December of 2007 Bible Pathway Ministries obtained airtime on World Harvest Radio's more powerful transmitters. Broadcasts of Bible Pathway into Europe, The Middle East, Africa, and South America are on transmitters that are 250,000 watts each or 2½ times more powerful than before. Our Bible Pathway broadcast to Asia comes from transmitters in Hawaii with a special antenna that is many times more powerful. Bible Pathway is now reaching the world with God's Word stronger and clearer than ever before. Bible Pathway daily devotions with added commentary and Scripture reading is now being sent via shortwave radio into the remotest parts of India with its 600,000 villages that have never seen a missionary. The Bible Pathway broadcast will penetrate areas where missionaries are not allowed to enter . . . will reach and strengthen the tiny pockets of Christians in dictator-controlled countries . . . will encourage the underground church in China . . . will pierce stone walls of Baghdad . . . will warm hearts in frozen Siberia with the glow of the Holy Spirit . . . and will bring the Light of the world into the darkest corners and furthest recesses of our world. By the grace of our wonderful Lord we will provide a Bible and Bible Pathway to any listener anywhere in the world as a love gift from the Bible Pathway extended family. God's Word will be taught to those who have had little or no knowledge of the Bible while it edifies the Christians in remote areas where Bibles and Bible-study helps are not available. We have received thousands of precious letters from most countries in the world. They always express their heartfelt gratitude for providing what is most precious to them. Our hearts are both thrilled and burdened each day as we read these letters. In most of the world, there are no televisions, newspapers, telephones, and no easy access to a post office where a postage stamp could cost a day's wages or more. Consider how the far reaching Shortwave Radio Ministry can go where even paper Pathways have not yet reached. Brothers and Sisters, can you imagine the souls that will be saved through this Radio Ministry? Because our future opportunities are so uncertain and the fact that we are in the last days, we must do all we can to teach the Word of God to those who have never heard it and to those who need to be taught. We must do everything we can to build up the Body of Christ which is often persecuted in these remote places. Just think how you would feel if you and your family were the only Christians in a Muslim or dictator-controlled country. Where would you go and what would you do if there was NO church -- NO teacher? Think how alone and helpless you would feel. Then think of the joy you would experience if a tiny radio could bring faith-building words into your home or village? And then think how deeply grateful you would be for the one who made it possible. In recent years entire villages have come to accept Jesus as Savior when the missionaries began their teaching in Genesis and took them through the Old Testament before presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our present Bible Pathway budget cannot underwrite this outreach. But we believe God would have us broadcast every day's devotions. The broadcasts can only continue as God provides through you, your friends, or your church. And what a wonderful project for your church, youth group, missions group, Bible-study class, friends or family. Perhaps you will want to bless and honor a special loved one by supporting a broadcast in their name in recognition of their birth or rebirth, marriage, anniversary or other momentous day. Churches may want to honor their pastors. And could there be a more fitting memorial to the home-going of one of the Lord's saints than a continuing witness to the world in their memory? Flowers quickly fade, but our Lord declared: My Word . . . shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it Isaiah 55:11 Prayerfully consider who you can urge to join with you in penetrating the darkness that now enshrouds the earth's airwaves. The broadcast can also be heard here in the United States on numerous local stations and from some of our shortwave broadcasts. Sample tapes are available for you to present to your favorite stations. Many carry the program free or as a public service. Or you may get your friends, Sunday School class, or church Missionary Society to sponsor the daily broadcast. It will be a wonderful time for a family altar, prayer, and witness to your community. Through radio you can truly respond to Jesus and teach all nations Matthew 28:19. Together we can reach the world with a voice proclaiming the Lord's answers to life's greatest needs without leaving our home. The airwaves will carry the message of God's love that you provide. The rewards will be a hundredfold 19:29. We have the promise of our wonderful Savior that after the Gospel of the kingdom is preached unto all nations, then Jesus Christ our King of Peace will return. Prayerfully seek the Lord's will in what He would have you do in supporting this global ministry of His Word. You may choose "your day" to broadcast. Broadcast to the Islamic world: In response to a subtle, but insidious, invasion going on throughout the nations we have launched a Pathway Mission toward Africa and the Middle East carrying the life-saving message of Jesus Christ to the Islamic world. The Islamic religion is taking over one nation after another while the world at large is unaware of what is happening. The Arabic daily devotional commentary is broadcast daily over the shortwave radio covering all the nations of the Middle East and Europe. Loaded with God's Word in the language of the people, these broadcasts will bring Light into the Islamic world of darkness. God has declared that His Word ... is like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces Jeremiah 23:29. Although missionaries are illegal, the broadcasts can give you the privilege of teaching millions of Arabic-speaking people who have no other hope of knowing what the Word of God says. The following chart shows just how much broadcast time your gifts will produce. They could reach as many as 6 billion people who, for perhaps the first time in 2,000 years, will hear that Jesus died to save them.
